Ripe

IMG_7135

Bitter is the fruit

of an unlived life; sweetness

is a life of depth.

When the time is right,

but not a moment too soon,

you will learn to breathe.

Drifters

Gypsies in the wind, their gold and red tipped fingers shake like tambourines.

shake like tambourines.

Vulnerability

Sweat of a season drip, exposing bare fingers reaching out for more.

Somber Truth

Within the silence you can hear the symphony of sleeping secrets.

The Midst Of Chill

Stinging, biting frost tats a world of crystal lace in fall’s smiling face.

Imitating Art

Beneath the façade, we are simply dust and tears creating a life.

Dusk

When smoke and flame meet and waters lap against sand is heaven on earth.

Light and Shadow

Hot breath in the breeze, light kisses the trees and rail as night drops her cloak.

Slipping Into Fall

Across the waves of water and clouded skies, she whispers all day and into the night until her voice rises to a mothering roar. She calls to the oaks and maples to pack away their summer bags. She tells the squirrels and chipmunks it’s time to fill the cellar. She cautions the bear and deer to remember to wear their overcoats. She tells the geese and hummingbirds to lift their wings and come on home. Mama warns her babies to grab a blanket and slip into something comfortable because change is coming.

Seasonal

The autumn leaves drift like butterflies in the wind coloring our world.
