a chill in the air
wind-swept reeds, clouds overhead
making waves downstream
In The Space Of Empty
Could easily be a shot of the Everglades just 40 miles west of me. But because of corrupt officials and a strong construction lobby the eastern boundary gets farther and farther away as encroachment continues. Don’t they get it? Besides precious habitat for unique and dwindling species of flora and fauna it provides the water for 10 million people.
The saddest thing is I’ve lived in this area for almost thirty years and have only been to these places a handful of times until this past year. Now it seems as if I am pulled there…can’t get enough of it.
